Sneak over and get shot at.Sneak over, pull their electric meter and throw it away. That will shut them down for a while.
Not if you sneak properly...Sneak over and get shot at.
I have not yet reported any illegal fireworks, but I should have. Last year, when I was talking to the police, I told him that I would be reporting illegal fireworks on the 4th of July. The police officer told me that I could report it, but they're really busy that night, so they may not get to the report.Did you ever call police about the illegal fireworks? Those are extremely dangerous.
I think you are right.I would not call him 'not conservative', I'd call him a free spirit. But you, dear Katlupe, would know better than I.
I completely understand how you felt about a Video camera .. but now, it's perfectly legal to put a Video ring doorbell on your door..even in Apartment buildings. When I moved in here there was a guy who lived next door. He was pretty friendly at that time. Then when my BF started coming here he got mean and angry. A few months later he put up a video camera outside his door pointed at the elevator. I objected because it was an invasion of my privacy and everyone else's too. Showing everyone coming and going from the elevator. It took us a month to get the manager to make him take it down. My BF is not a very conservative man and he "mooned" that camera. Not long after that it was taken down.
Caramel, you are right. I don't value neighbors also, but at least I must admit, that they are not that evil. They are sometimes loud, they have barbecues, which I don't like because of the smell of fat, their cigarette smoke gets into our house and so on. But I guess for them I'd be a nasty neighbor too for these reasons.I've lived next to my horrible back neighbors for over 20 years. A lot has changed in that time. Other neighbors have come and gone. Some were burned by my horrible neighbor.
I've found myself writing about the bad neighbor escapades a lot lately. I've decided to start a thread on it, so the people who are tired of hearing about them can ignore this thread.
I've got some new neighbors who have moved in this week. Considering that the last neighbors who lived there were evil, I'm feeling quite triggered, waiting to see what the new neighbors do. If they join forces with the back neighbor, things could go really badly for me. If they turn out to be respectful, decent people, that would be a boon to my quality of life in ways that most people wouldn't imagine.
Seeing as it's Memorial Day weekend, this will be a long weekend for me, waiting to see what happens.
The police said it was up to the management of the building. So they told him he had to remove it or he would be evicted. I mean he had two other tenants on our floor acting crazy in front of that camera. Ended up having no friends here for a long time.I completely understand how you felt about a Video camera .. but now, it's perfectly legal to put a Video ring doorbell on your door..even in Apartment buildings.
I remember reading about a similar story , and the person was demanding that the video ring doorbell be removed because she felt that she was being watched by her neighbour every time she went out or came home... no a nice feeling clearly, but she was told no, she has no right to ask for it to be removed...unless it's deliberately been set to focus just on her property, but as a Video ring doorbell takes in wide shots , then it's legal...
... that's the only drawback with the VRD's I feel... I have one here ..2 actually, one on my front door and another on my side gate... but if I lived in a very small space like an apartment building I would not be happy that my every move outside my apartment was being watched.
Yes, this is a worry. One jerk to the side of my back yard blasted his stereo outside every holiday, like Labor Day. From 10 to 10. However I have looked that house up on Google maps. Newer pictures and there was a Sheriff SUV in the drive way. Bet they wish I was still there! When I started this thread was the last weekend I called the police on my neighbors. . . until this weekend. I thought things might have been getting better, but nope.
Music started early in the morning. By afternoon, I recorded the illegal decibel levels, then called the police. An hour later, the music stopped.
Then a pattern I've noticed as I've been logging their behavior. They start laughing like hyenas after I call the police. Same happened today.
I'm expecting retaliation and blasting music tomorrow.
I agree. I also should have sold sooner. Could have got more money.Caramel, everyone deserves a peaceful life. If you can't get it where you are now, and given that you've been putting up with this for 20 years, it's hard to understand why you haven't moved elsewhere.
I mean, logging neighbors' behavior? Calling the police on them? What kind of life is that?
A 55+ or similar community with by-laws about noise might be just the ticket.
