My online tax prep whine

I have been using Turbotax for a few years but no more! I went to log in and my password was rejected. After checking with Apple, which took some time doing, it was determined that my Mac was not the problem and I should contact Turbotax. Here is where things got my BP up as the wait time was thirty minutes to reach a tech who couldn't solve the problem and referred me to a specialist--an hour went by before this guy got on the phone, and he couldn't do any more than the tech. Then the storm started and the power went out and I had tp put myself on a suicide watch which only ended after the cocktail hour with a warm, but very large, martini. OK, how much will that whine cost me?

lol

My plan now is to go to another online site and see what happens. My backup plan is to go to a woman I found on Google who is just around the corner if I find that my martinis are not coming from a glass but straight out of the bottle to my lips...

I'm so sorry for your misfortune. I have a guy that does mine. I won't tell you how happy I am about taxes this year because you're sad about it

Yes, sometimes it is just better to pay a little more and avoid the glitches that may occur online as it is only a once a year expense...

I've tried various tax services over the years...turbotax, taxact, etc. I have settled on H&R Block, and have had good results. It costs about $45 a year, for both Federal and State, but I haven't had any filing errors, and the refunds arrive quickly.

Heading to Block and hope for the best after your results with them...

I just get the H&R Block CD, and do my taxes online. What swung me their way was the State tax. I had been doing my state taxes using the DOR forms online. When I used the H&R CD, they found some details that resulted in a much larger state refund. It appears that I had been overpaying the state. I was able to go back 4 years and get the money back...resulting in a Really Nice refund. Now, they send me a new CD every year, and I enter the numbers, then e-file, and save Far More than the CD costs. I would highly recommend H&R.
