To be honest, I have not decorated in years. It is just my husband and I, no kids, no guests at Christmas, therefore we do not decorate. Never got much into it. My mom decorated a lot. After she passed (I was in my 20's) I slowly stopped doing it.

I used to get quite festive indeed, but never outside lights for any holiday. I guess blame my Dad. I learned all decorating and landscaping from him. He never had lights outdoors. There was the tree shining in the window and a tasteful wreath on the front door. I go all out with Halloween though.

It's not too early here! Yesterday was a fine sunny day with temps in the forties so I got a bit of it done and today it's snowing with temps about freezing. I'd hoped to get all the outside stuff done before it snows.
