My peas are done and the beans are coming in.

My garden is doing well. The peas didn't last to long because of the intense heat but now the beans are starting. I'm trying two varieties side by side for dinner tonight. I've always planted beans but never took the time to compare. I doubt there will be much of a difference. We will see.

The gardens has gone Nuttso, green beans and cucumbers out the Wazoo and everything is looking great. Should be picking green beans as I procrastinate the thought. Going to blanch and freeze them.. Happy Gardening to you,

Ruth, looks good.

We had no luck this year with our garden.We started it too late. Did have lots of egg plants, okra and a couple melons but tomatoes got too hot.

My grandmother used to cook peas and green beans in as little water as possible then at the end she would add milk. butter, S&P. A bowl of that and a slice of bread and butter made a meal.

Now and then we still snap beans. But yes I also remember sitting on the porch and doing it back then too.
