My Personal Streaming Schedule

Trying a new personal streaming schedule. My DD likes to watch her Chromebook, she watches Netflix, Prime & Youtube in her room. My SO also watches her Chromebook, She is into British baking shows, Alone & Youtube @ the dining room table when shes not outside in her garden or evenings. I on the other hand & armed with my TV Ears, surf between NetFlix, Prime, TUBI & a host of English dubbed crime series or WWI, WWII documentaries on several streaming services.

I can use the 'Ears' at almost sonic boom level because of my hearing. I usually found that my choices are varied between 4-5 services. They allow me the 50 inch ROKU TV as my own. I cancel my subscriptions at will usually only having 1-2 active, for 10-15 days at a time. I'm not a fan of Youtube. Leave NetFlix & Prime active, & revel in my surfing system.

It's a little cheaper & gives me a choice of my favorites. A series usually takes a few days to finish so I can watch what I want. The British services would add up $30 a month but with my system it runs from $10-20 a month. without fighting over the selections. Both DD & SO have acute hearing & the noise level I watch at makes it uncomfortable for them to enjoy the streaming or my choices. I no longer drive, I was becoming a menace & it was my decision to quit, also they both like to meander through the stores shopping which I hate.

My schedule is even easier. I have free broadcast TV and that's it. :(
The only 'Free' I like is TUBI, the rest are hit & miss with repeats, older dated movies & free on most channels. I had an antenna but the quality was horrendous. To each their own & I like what I do pay for on a limited basis. I like to complicate my TV schedule as much as possible. What else have I got to do. Keeping up is my way of staying alert.

I understand,, Gilead, if you enjoy the way you're doing things. I just expressed another perspective, since different things work for each of us

I use a leaf antenna and usually get at least 30 channels, which is enough for me that there's always something to watch that is okay. I spend very little time with TV, and I'm not willing to spend money for pay TV or streaming.

I keep a movie collection (over 400 so far) to watch and continually add to it by purchasing used movies at very low prices, so I'm never out of anything to watch.

We do the same thing; it's amazing how with as many streaming services as we have, sometimes they don't have a thing we want to watch, so having the dvds are great.
