Miracle Whip always seemed like the cheap substitute to me, although I've seen it specified in recipes. So I suppose it is better suited for some things. I've got to try this Hillmans that everyone talks about. I like mayo better than "whip", but the stuff stays in the frig for so long that I'm afraid the eggs will go bad. So I make do with Miracle Whip, and what's even more hair raising, it's Miracle Whip Light.Reading all the recipes I was struck by @senior chef 's use of Miracle Whip. That may be the key difference in several of my mother's recipes and mine. She loved it and I don't think I've ever bought it!
