She's a nice, quiet "Sister" he met at the mosque who apparently had her eyes on him for a while. A mutual friend told him about it. The mosque had a meet and greet and they were formally introduced there. I met her and one of her daughters once, a few months ago at the mosque my son attends. Then we went out for lunch. What I noticed about her is that she's a pragmatic person and I like that.
She had moved to North Carolina, so for the most part it's been a long distance relationship. They are on the phone a few times daily and do Quranic readings and other studies together at night. She has flown to N.J. a couple of times since they started courting and stays with her brother's family. My son has flown down there a few times; he is there now and will fly back tomorrow. He has to stay at a hotel each time because they can't stay together without being married.
She already made it clear that she does not want him to have to move to N.C. because even though he could transfer within the same company, he would face a significant cut in pay. So she and her developmentally disabled daughter will move back up here after she finishes her class in December, which is for advancement of her career in child care. The sisters at the mosque, where she was quite active, love her and will be happy about her return. Even though her daughter is developmentally disabled, she has quite a gregarious personality, which I enjoyed. And she loves my son. I'm happy and excited for them.
