You burn more calories when cold, plus it reduces inflamation. Is it worth the shivering? Hell no!How does this improve ones health?
For sure his body weight will fend off the cold a little longer. Don't understand the concept though of improving his health by getting down to below freezing. He is on a health journey and this is his newest purchase to help accomplish his goals.....with the ice packs included,he was able to get the temp down to 45 degrees, but he is aiming for 30. Brrrrr.....
You have a delightful kitty!!!I'll just go for a walk.
Thank you. That was Brandy. She is no longer alive. She had only one eye. She lived to a good old age.You have a delightful kitty!!!
I do that also. I’ll have a hot shower, wash my hair and rinse with cool water. I find it invigoratingAfter a warm shower I turn the hot water off and let the cold water run for a second over my feet only. I have warm feet all night long. Our water here is "river water" and is very, very cold.
If he is Really on a "health journey", losing a Bunch of excess weight should be his highest Priority, Based upon the picture, I would estimate that he is about 100lbs. overweight. He is on a health journey and this is his newest purchase to help accomplish his goals.....with the ice packs included,he was able to get the temp down to 45 degrees, but he is aiming for 30. You pretty much nailed it, I'd say.My son in law is NUTS!

If he manages to get that water down to 30F as a liquid without adding any kind of salt or antifreeze, assuming he is not at an altitude of 2 miles or higher, let us know as it will be a breakthrough in science! He is on a health journey and this is his newest purchase to help accomplish his goals.....with the ice packs included,he was able to get the temp down to 45 degrees, but he is aiming for 30. He is nowhere near 100 pounds overweight but losing weight was and is part of his journey.First,a year ago,was to stop drinking alcohol as he felt it had no place in what he was/is trying to achieve. Along with that came some automatic weight loss. Now he has added healthy eating to that. His biggest issue-at least to me-is that he is a workaholic. In the past two years,he has gone from earning a good living working for someone else for 20 years to starting 3 or 4 businesses and is now a millionaire. He is out the door at 4:30 a.m. and goes til at least 7p.m. Fortunately,he is also discovering that mini vacays are nice too, because I really worry about how driven he is.If he is Really on a "health journey", losing a Bunch of excess weight should be his highest Priority, Based upon the picture, I would estimate that he is about 100lbs. overweight.
I hope your son-in-law gets the results he's aiming for. I also hope he cuts down on his working hours, so that he's around for a long time to enjoy his wealth. He is nowhere near 100 pounds overweight but losing weight was and is part of his journey.First,a year ago,was to stop drinking alcohol as he felt it had no place in what he was/is trying to achieve. Most of his working life has been spent operating heavy equipment-hence the upper body bulk.
