My step daughter just eloped!!

Congratulations to both of them, I wish them many happy years! I love Vegas, they picked the perfect place. 🥳🎈🥂🍾

I am so happy they're married but I have to admit, I just don't understand them, their decisions, where their heads are at with all this.

So, Sheri is the one who's been living with her Dad for a couple years with her two little boys. John rents a house and shares it with a couple roommates. They're looking for a house to buy, but meanwhile they suddenly decide to go to Vegas to elope, in this huge rush, come back home.......and continue to live separately, he at his house with his roommates and she here with us and the boys.

I mean.....really??? 🤦‍♀️ I'm not traditional by any stretch of the imagination about much of anything, and just because two people get married does not mean they HAVE to live together. But they were in such a rush to tie the knot to then come back home and continue life as usual? I just don't get that.

Ron and I hooked them up with our Realtor after they've had zero success with the one they had been using. They were being fed a house a week, maybe, to go look at. Once we convinced them that this was very poor, and they switched, within the hour they have 40+ houses to check out online, and a dozen or more that they're interested in seeing this weekend.

Strange times.

Hmmmm. I don't suppose he can throw his room mates out so she and the children can move in.

Maybe she's pregnant?

No, she's not pregnant. And they don't want to move into the house he's currently living in. Too small, or the rooms not the right configuration or something. Not sure.

She has a horse...she's been a horsewoman since she was in the single digits. Ron used to take her to competitions all around the region, the same way i took my daughter to dance competitions all the time. We figured that more than once before we ever knew each other we were in the same town for comps lol!

Anyway part of the reason they want to buy a house is to get some land with it so she can stop boarding Lindy and keep her horse on the property with her. So they're looking for a few acres with an outbuilding or two..at least a barn or something they can convert to a barn, and fairly level land so they can fence it for the horse.

I do wish them luck on their search!

I thought you said Sheri was pregnant in your, ‘Lots of changes in my stepfamily’ thread Ronni, have I confused her with your other step daughter ?

Yeah. It’s Krystal who’s pregnant. The sister/older daughter. Don’t feel bad though I can barely keep track of all the kids/step kids/grands/step grands myself!! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️75141492-E38E-4939-940F-1FCA3021D9B9.jpeg
The baby has reached gummy bear status! 💖

Ronni, the first mother to truly understand what's going on in her kids' heads will win the Nobel prize for mind reading. I understand they've had it on hand for years but so far nobody has qualified for it......

I’m pleased she’s not anyway, so you and Ron can have your honeymoon, you have an exciting time ahead :)
