No, I do not. I was referring to the Big Shots who control stuff, not us punies who differ.

In terms of freedom, tolerance, lack of corruption, and all those good things, Canada is basically the opposite of Russia.

Four people already respect that I am always right. It's good to know. I will pass this along to my cats. Actually, its my cats who are always right. I just do what they tell me to do. I think I might be getting a hairball. I have to go now.

Do you mean 'right' as opposed to being leaning 'left'? Now that would be political....right?
 
I've read that in all of recorded history that the human race has only experienced < 300 years of peace.
The current situation is a revival of the Cold War, East vs West power struggle.
There is no benefit to pushing the Red Button(nuclear annihilation) for any party involved. Even North Korea, with their dynasty of crazy dictators who like to "saber rattle" at the Western world understand that wiping human life off the face of the planet is of no advantage.
Still, during such times as these, optimism is at a low level....
