Andy and Bugsy. They were adopted at different times as adult cats and they are inseparable. It never ceases to amaze me.

They were enjoying the sun today and I couldn't resist taking a pic. We have harmony and balance in our house!

Were you always a cat lover? Or did they win your 'doggy-lovin' heart?

I had to get tough with my two maniacs this morning. 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 They kept disconnecting the main TV & cable. What a way to start the day! Kept taking them away, they kept running back! Over & over! So, like their mama would, I grabbed them by the scruffs of their necks, put them in Grandson's Playroom, covered plugs with pillows, let them out, gave them a can of food.

So far so good.

@Debrah N. I had a Beagle puppy when I was 9 years old that I loved dearly. I have pictures of her laying in my lap in my bedroom. She passed away of Distemper at just over 6 months old and my parents decided never to adopt another dog. (Of course, they told me she went to a "farm" up North".) I never had another pet until I moved out of the house.

Then when I was in my early 20's my roommate brought home a tiny kitten we named Cleo. He moved out and I kept her all through my single years and into my early 30's. I fell in love with cats because of how sweet and loving she was and have usually had 2 (at one time 3) indoor cats in the house. They are just so soothing and provide such great company.

Are they young?

Mine are pretty docile now since Andy just became a senior but he used to come into my home office and chew on the cord for the blinds. It is half gone now. They both lay on our laps at night when we watch TV but occasionally Andy gets up, heads to the TV and licks the fabric on our speaker. We have no idea why but we have sometimes removed him 3 times. Bugsy is like a brick. When he's on my lap I have to pick him up by his scruff to remove him. He "burrows" into my arm and could lay there until I'm fused to the couch.

I'm happy that even though Andy is 6 and Bugsy is 8 they still get a burst of energy around dinnertime and chase each other around the house.

Kittens born the first week of August. I think I "acquired" them last week September. They desperately need to be fixed! It's up to my son to take them by car and he is stalling me due to this crazy season; he is insanely busy. The folks we adopted them from are texting him often, trying to pin him down for an appointment time. He paid already for the procedure, that was our adoption fee. They are supposed to get chipped at the same time. Hope Louie doesn't start spraying.

I've had kittens 4 times before, yes, they are always lively; but this pair----------:eek:. What a mess! They make me So Happy with their antics, I had been so depressed after I lost my best girl, my Buffy, June 9. She was 17. Below is Buffy with my son.

Must be a huge farm up north eh? So many of our pets went to live there 😉! I've always been a cat lover since I was a kid but my husband wasn't so I opted for a chihuahua (similar size you know) and we've had several through our life. But now we also have a rescued cat who hung around our place for a summer and fall and my husband has finally fallen for his charms. I think he was so sick and hungry at half his normal weight when we finally caught him, that he's perfectly content to live the life of a spoiled house cat.
