So far no one knows the origin of these drones or why they are flying in certain areas, Authorities advised our governor says no threat to public safety but how can they know that for sure if they don't know their origins and what they're doing?
"Drones have reportedly been spotted near the Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. military facility, and President-elect Donald Trump's Bedminster golf course. In response, the Federal Aviation Administration temporarily restricted drone flights over these locations.

The drones, often described as large, brightly lit, and loud, have also been reported over reservoirs, electric transmission lines, and police stations. Some eyewitnesses have said they are the size of small cars."

My guess is that they're "ours" and searching for something or someone of high priority.

It’s interesting to me that authorities say there is no threat but don’t seem to know what they are or what they are doing.

They didn’t seem to have any qualms about shooting down Chinese weather/spy balloons, why give these mysterious drones a pass.

It seems to me that there must be more to this that is not being shared.

Seriously, I would be shooting them down, got two of them in the past few years hovering just above my backyard.
Haven't had any problems since.

Wonder if someone like Amazon is testing feasibility of delivery apparatus?

Saw three over Verrazzano Bridge one night about 2 weeks ago. They are very large and are designed to look like small aircraft, at least to my eyes. They have been spotted in the Staten Island area as well. They were very obvious.

You can buy drones in the dollar store. And you can get any size drone you want delivered to your door. Taking pics from a drone is just as legal as taking pics from streetside hand held cameras. But there are regulations about drone air rights.

I have been told that it's very likely that a foreign adversary is behind these drones being flown across the U.S. and right now they are concentrated in the NY and NJ area because of the amount of area and people that are in this area. The drones have made several flights over the Verrazano Bridge area. Chris Smith, a Representative from New Jersey told congress he saw a total of 50 drones at one time come in off the ocean. They thought perhaps a boat had been parked not too far from land and launched the drones from there.

We have to understand that there are many different entities that control the skies over the country. including commercial, military, FAA, TRACON and others. When all of these entities were questioned by government officials as what their beliefs are as to what the drones are doing, like performing reconnaissance or taking pictures or doing surveillance, no one knew anything.

Homeland Security, the FBI, the CIA, NORAD, etc., no one stated that they knew anything, yet there is suspicion on the parts of many senators and representatives that someone knows something. When the balloon was flown over the U.S. back in 2023, why did we wait until it finally flew over the territorial waters of South Carolina in the Atlantic Ocean before the USAF shot it down? The remnants were sent to the FBI lab and it was discovered that there was surveillance gathering equipment inside.

More than likely, someone does know something.

If the reports that these are USOs, roughly spherical in shape, with some sort of bubble or shield that reflected light glints off are true... these aren't quadcopter "drones." Actually any of those three attributes should be alarming if true.

The video clips seen in the news report above look out of focus though, quite possibly the reason for any "orb" shaped appearance.

But an 8 minute news report won't be watched by anyone here I guess.

Very interesting video D. But the videos of the drones I've been seeing on the news look nothing like the orb thing that they showed. That may be an entirely different issue. In fact orb sightings dip into a different realm. Re: USOs.I have heard of USOs (Unidentified Submerged Objects), I read that Columbus saw one and wrote about it in his journal; a few other famous people have seen them as well. Well, our governor said that according to Homeland Security and the FBI, they do not present a public threat. Soooooo....if they are government drones, either HS and FBI are not sharing that information with him or he is not sharing it with the general public, neither of which would surprise me. @Aunt Bea @CallMeKate

@Tish Did you really shoot two down? Were they as big as the ones flying over the tri state area now? I don't think it would be a good idea to shoot down a drone that's as big as a car (the way they've been described)

The pictures are pretty interesting, for sure ! I think that is awesome that you actually saw one, @Pepper ! My thought is that the government has undoubtedly been looking to see what there are, and they probably ARE something that they themselves have flying around out there, but do not want to talk about for some reason, probably for security reasons.
However, even if they are actually some kind of UFO’s, and we do not know what they are, there is no way that the government is just going to say that and have panic because we think we are being attacked by aliens from outer space.
