All of these responses are fitting for that time. I was in 69-70 and while in country music was not plentiful where I served as a forward observer in the central highlands. The music named above were more known before and after my tour of duty. Very interesting memories.

I was in the central highlands as well. 69-70. I agree with your analogy. I was an air traffic controller at Pleiku. Where were you? Highlands was a bigger area then we remember.

just memories. Can smell it, taste it. Always will. Music was arm forces radio, chris noel as I recall. Huey thump I will never forget. whistle of the flares going up...never forget. Smell of the countryside....never forget. Just memories.
