My sisters took me out for a birthday lunch this Thursday. I am not big on my birthday but one of my sisters is huge on birthdays so when she told the staff at the restaurant that we went to that it was my birthday I at first was not a happy camper but then I decided to let my sister have her fun and go along with it.

OLE!!!!

The snow that was covering the flower bed, gradually melted, this week,☀️

and revealed the tulip bulb leaves, are well up out of the ground. I am very happy to be able to see them! ☺️

Strong healthy sprouts, they are! Announcing that Springtime is coming!🤩🥳

It was a good thing for me, but not about me.
I took an 85 year old friend to get an echocardiagram, after three EKGs and much anxiety to her. The results came back fine, and she was so relieved, took her shopping yesterday, she's like a new woman! Makes me so happy to see her relaxing again!

Great thread @Marian! I think we should all wake up every day and think of one thing we are grateful for (aside from just waking up). It helps us develop a more positive attitude toward life.

The best thing that happened to me this week involves my partner. He was promoted in January and was working long hours. He finally got his management team in place and worked early every day this week so he was home by 5:30 or 5:45pm. That makes it easier for me to have dinner prepared and gives us more time together.

Yesterday I had a date with a beautiful lady. She agreed to my suggestion of taking her out for Sunday lunch. We travelled there in style.

There, being The Drovers, it was packed, actually it was the only table that I could get what with it being Mothering Sunday.

A lovely couple run this country pub/restaurant, we have known them for many years.

Harvelle & Martin. He is a saxophonist in a band when he is not serving drinks behind the bar.

So many times we get photographed, must be something to do with the clothes that we wear.

The dress that Tina wore gets complimented all the time, in fact she wore it for Harvelle, who is in love with it.
This is the pattern that she used. Fashions may come and go but style is forever.

Had a lovely day yesterday, Mothering Sunday. Eldest son, his partner and granddaughters came round with card, present and cuddles. Later on in the day my youngest son drove me round to his house where I had a meal with him, his partner and grandson. Not longer after my son dropped me off back home I received a text message from grandson saying how pleased he was that I'd spent the evening with them.
