Ebola doesn't match the criteria of your answer when I asked for a definition of most dangerous. Yes, it's semantics, but I'm just sayin'.StarSong. You got it right. It is a greed. The most dangerous virus of all time.

Oops! Isn't the first time I've gotten the wrong end of the stick. Probably won't be the last time today either. Problem is little sleep, no coffee, and I can't rule out diminishing mental capacity.I believe the OP is saying I got it right when I said it had to be the general category of influenza.
A couple of years ago I pondered what science speculated had killed the most humans since our species came on the scene. Heart disease, cancer, war, exposure to the elements? As happens with www rabbit holes, I spent at least an hour researching and ultimately learned that infectious pulmonary diseases were far and away the most frequent causes of human deaths.
When @Youngatheart clarified his parameters in post #20, defining "dangerous" as "Killed the most people and keeps on killing," I knew the answer had to be lung-related, thus influenza.
p.s. @Oris Borloff, I was responding to post #70 when I said it couldn't have been Ebola and explained why.
This one is for you, Ferocious!Name the Most Dangerous Virus of all Time.
'Lust'..........of course it can be cured, but it keeps coming back.![]()
I didn't read it as snarky - was just trying to clarify since I'd made numerous posts and the OP wasn't clear about which one was the answer he was looking for.Oops! Isn't the first time I've gotten the wrong end of the stick. Probably won't be the last time today either. Problem is little sleep, no coffee, and I can't rule out diminishing mental capacity.
Wasn't trying to be snarky or anything. Apologies to any if taken that way.
