Nancy Guthrie and Your Security

I'm too cheap to pay for security but otherwise am careful and take many precautions, especially in keeping a very low profile.
You lays low and you don't say nuthin'. --Brer Rabbit, and Bambi's mom says so too.
In that case, I'm going to lay low and say nuthin' too - if @gruntlabor, Brer Rabbit AND Bambi's mum says so - then that's what I'm going to do ;):)

....I make it a practice to check the feed of on our doorbell camera, but we have another less obvious camera in a less conspicuous spot.
The more conspicuous your surveillance is, the more likely you'll stop any predators from even thinking about making you their next victim.

I have a Ring camera.
I put ADT Home Security decals on the inside of most of my windows, but I don't have an ADT system.
I mounted a fake camera over my garage. It has a tiny red light on it that stays on, so it looks like it's constantly recording. It's actually just a motion light.
I had an OnStar decal on the window of my old car, but it didn't have OnStar.
My wife's car has OnStar, and the decal is prominently displayed.

Those are deterrents, and over the past 3 years my Ring recorded 2 people, probably mail thieves, who started toward my front porch, and then turned and left, so I suppose they work.

My only other security system is several strategically placed firearms.

Probably lots of people, me included, set up systems around our home and never think about reviewing if they accomplish what’s needed.

I hope I’m not too stubborn to realize I may need a medic alert and have the sense to actually wear it, or the need to move when the time comes.
