Naomi Judd's passing...how sad

Kudos to the family for describing the cause of death as ā€˜mental illnessā€™ right away instead of trying to hide it. They will probably elaborate more later. In the meantime, theyā€™ve brought awareness to difficult situation.
 
So sad that this beautiful and talented woman couldn't look inside herself and appreciate what made her so successful. :(
 
I was shocked when I saw this. Actually didn't even see it in my news feed but via two posts on Facebook. Then I finally found the article on USA today but had to scroll a bit, which surprised me. I too was saddened. She was a beautiful woman but I didn't know she had so many demons and hardships. When I told my BFF about it...she didn't know either because she had shows to play for over the weekend, which left no time for anything but eating and resting. After I mentioned the mental illness part, she speculated that perhaps she didn't deliberately take her life but accidentally overdosed on her medication. I tend to believe from the wording used that it was deliberate. Such a tragic thing for her daughters and fans. The timing is unreal too, which my BFF asked..."why would she kill herself the night before she's to be inducted into the CM Hall of Fame". Good point..but who knows? We won't know until more is revealed and that could be months.
