Napoleon & Josephine Didn't Use Deodorants

I don't care for chemicals masking the real me either. If need be, I shower more often.

I just read or saw something about how the aristocrats literally did their business in the streets (the ladies under those long dresses), so streets were filled with bodily waste. It also mentioned that people didn't bathe that often back then so perfumes were created to mask the smell. And know the saying "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater"? That allegedly came about because entire families would use the same bathwater and by the time the baby got bathed the water was dirty that it could "hide" a small infant. Those were some nasty a*s people back in the day!
