National Best Friends Day - June 8th

My best friend lives in South Australia. We "got each other" from the moment we met, over 20 years ago. We share secrets nobody else knows.
 
My best friend of 46 years lives in another state. She's an exceptionally talented musician, my musical mentor and has played electric piano on two of my tracks after accepting my impromptu invitation to do so. She is as humble as she is talented. She's also compassionate, non judgmental and a person of integrity that I'd trust with my money and my life. She has the ability to make me see that I could have handled things better without making me feel bad or stupid. She knows most of my secrets and I love her like a sister (my son calls her Auntie). I've said that she has saved me a ton of money on therapist fees. :) Even though she stays very busy, during COVID and especially after my DIL died, she and I talk on the phone almost daily. Here we are after having lunch with my granddaughter when she came up here about a year and a half ago.

My best friend, of over 68 years, lives in another state also. I'm the one who moved away.

We were close for many years and kept in touch about our families and lives ....
but she is retreating into her own world these days .... and I find that sad, but I do respect her wishes.

I can only wish her well, and I will always have the memories of the crazy insane things we used to do as teenagers.
