National Brownie Day - December 8th

The Kreb’s was a famous restaurant in a nearby town. The restaurant still exists but it is vastly different today than it was at the turn of the century when they started using this saucepan brownie recipe.
BROWNIES FROM THE KREB
RESTAURANT NEW YORK
1/2 c. butter
2 sq. bitter chocolate
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter with chocolate. Blend with sugar, salt and eggs. Stir flour and chopped walnuts into the mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into a shallow tin and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Pan size = 9 x 9 pan.
 
Your resident Medical Marijuana advocate here. We all have heard of "Pot Brownies". They were illegal for years, now you can get them at your local dispensary ( license may be required ). My dentist friend ( 71 ) is registered now for 2021-2022. He uses edibles quite a bit ( bad arthoritis ). I don't like edibles because the are not strain specific, they are either labeled Sativa, Hybrid, or Indica. I tried some sativa ones for a while and it was very uncomfortable for me. They say to go slow when using edibles. I agree. :)
