National Cabbage Day - February 17th

My mother made the best cabbage! I tried to make it like she did, but it just wasn't as good. My husband hired a Jamaican cook to work in his take out joint. He made Jamaican food with cabbage as the vegetable. He came a close second to my mother's. Soooo good!

YUM! That reminds me, St. Patrick' day is coming soon. The Corned beef briskets at TOPs Market are VERY expensive-if the price drops I will get a small one, and cook in my crock pot with potatoes, carrots and Cabbage. I love it and it makes great corned beef hash with the leftover beef and potatoes.
