National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day - August 4th

I've loved chocolate chip cookies since I was a little kid,still love them today
I remember helping my mom bake the Nestle Toll House cookies, I would stir the bowl,when she wasn't looking eat mixed batter . Afterwards lick the bowl YUM!
 
Would make dozens
before Christmas..family project..
DH crack walnuts... kids grind...hand grinder attached to edge of kitchen table..remember those?
Add to batter.. plop on baking sheets..
Bake..
Eat warm..right out of oven

Freeze whatever left.
Kids would eat frozen

Had to start all over.😂 dozens more

Oh! Memories 🤗
 
I for one, have never liked chocolate chip cookies. Along with Oreo, they are the most overrated cookies that I ever ate. I prefer Oatmeal Raisin, Lorna Doone, and fig bars.
