I went to an engagement party last night and they served a mini-version of what their wedding cake will be.
Almond cake with almond buttercream frosting. Beyond delicious.
A couple of people complained because they were allergic. I commiserated with them.....and then ate their pieces....LOL.
Remember when wedding cakes tasted awful? White dry cake and icing made from powdered sugar and Crisco. That's what mine was.

Oh!Every day can be National Dessert Day, if you truly believe and dedicate yourself to the cause. There are no bad desserts, just some that are better than othersā¦.
