National Gingersnap Day - July 1st

I've never liked gingersnaps. Gingerbread, yes. And I make a beautiful, yummy, tender gingerbread cookie. But every gingersnap I've ever tasted was either too gingery, too sweet, or too hard.

I've never made my own, though.

You’ve never made your own?
You must try making your own but early morning. Then have a cup or tea or coffee with them while they are still warm.
They are so good. I make gingerbreads every year and they are a bit similar. Mine I like semi soft.

I don't drink coffee but everyone else here does, so yeah, I should try it. I do have an old recipe. Think it's from the mid-40s. If it's too anything, I can tweak it.

That’s a great idea. If gingerbreads didn’t take as long as they do I’d probably make them more often but the gingerbread works really nice as a breakfast biscuit/ cookie. You could make it your signature snack. šŸ˜„
