National Hummingbird Day- September 2nd

Most common Calif humming birds include

  • Black-chinned Hummingbird
  • Anna’s Hummingbird
  • Costa’s Hummingbird
  • Broad-tailed Hummingbird
  • Rufous Hummingbird
  • Allen’s Hummingbird
  • Calliope Hummingbird
  • Broad-billed Hummingbird
  • Violet-crowned Hummingbird
 

I have only ever seen one Hummingbird in the east. that was up in the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina.
In Arizona they were everywhere. My wife had one sit on her hand and drink from a small dish.
