In the mid-60s there were lollipops that were the same patterns as the iron forge balcony fence posts. They came in multiple colours and flavours.
You were told you'd have to lick for hours.
We didn't at all whatsoever, we rebelled and crunched the bleep of if them lollipops. Couple of minutes, we were down to the stick. Lol, we had such good teeth back them, oh the fun of it.
These days were still trying but not possible to do so anymore. Thanks for reminding us.
