I remember our small-town pharmacist opening in the middle of the night when someone had an emergency.

I worked in the pharmacy dept at a local hospital as a pharm tech for 27 yrs. A few of the pharmacists that worked in our dept became good friends. They always had the time to explain something to me whenever I had a question
My daughter is a pharmacist and through the years has become really good friends with a few of her "techs". It really makes a difference to pharmacists when they have good techs. She says her techs can help or hurt you and she has been blessed with some good ones. And then there were the other ones that made the whole department miserable and everybody was glad to see them go.

I must say, when I've had a question, and asked a pharmacist..as to get an independent opinion/answer, than from my doctor..I've been pleased with the answer, their knowledge..and it was from two different ones.👍

There have been times when seeing my family doctor and we are discussing meds he stops and says"lets call Tammy" who is my daughter. He has always said that doctors do not get the training they should about meds when in medical school. I cannot tell you how extensive her training is and now you have to have your PHD to be a pharmacist. I had a time helping her get through college and pharmacy school being a single parent without child support at that time. We made it and she makes and deserves the salary she has now.
