We used to put slices in the toaster, then spread with butter when they were toasted. So delicious!

My mom would use this mix to make pound cake. I just checked...they still sell it!

Yes! I used to try to get the edges just the slightest bit crispy without burning it. That was quite a trick. Then melt on the butter. Yum!
