I really like exploring my family history. I have been able to only go back to one great great grand parent, but I haven't followed many of the possible branches. I use to love this time of year when aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpa would come. The atmosphere in our house seemed to fill up with the feeling of having a really big family, and felt really good.

I have little interest in my family history. I know that my father's family were farmers from the Scottish borders and mother was from Glasgow.
She always claimed to be descended from minor aristocracy, but I can find no evidence of this. Somewhere in my wife's family, was a captain of a sailing schooner. That's about as interesting as it gets.
