Believe it or not, today is also National Sardines Day..

I used to love eating them. Skinless and boneless in olive oil. Now I can't force them down anymore. I have given up trying to.

dad liked the ones in mustard on occasion for his lunch at work. i really TRIED to like them as a teen who packed that lunch, but just too "fishy" for me. have tried them again as an "old" person... they would be a good fish but just too TOO fishy!

I love fish, but not stinky little fish. To each their own, but sardines are gross.

I like the ones in mustard sauce with saltines once in awhile......don't care all that much for the ones in tomato sauce.

I like it!

Better than the Union victory at Gettysburg that resulted in my Great great grandfather spending years in an awful Yankee prison camp.... Later rebranded as somehow connected to Pilgrims and Indians...

However we did have turkey today, sardines would have been fine with me, but probably not the rest of the family.
