National Sibling Day - April 10th

I’m gonna sit right down, and shoot my geographically-distant sister an e-mail for the occasion!

My older sister lives in England, never been close, last time I saw her last Oct at our niece,Katie's wedding. It was 1st time in 10 yrs we've seen each other in person
My younger& only brother lives in CT, we are very close, we talk every Sun

Nope, sister and I are estranged. Her choice not mine. I could not live up to her standards. She called yesterday, my birthday and Easter. There was nothing to discuss other than my son. She has decided he is her son. she has her own but he has not lived up to her standards. I just can't understand why she would hurt her own child. He suffers from social anxiety, still lives at home at 35 years old. She has ignored his struggles for all his life. She has decided my son is her's and has caused problems in relationships with all of us.

One brother died in the early days of Covid; another one died of pulmonary stenosis. That leaves five sisters and five brothers, only one of whom I'm close to. They all live a gazillion miles away.

Two of my siblings; not sure of the year. Oldest sister is older and had other plans other than going to the carnival with our parents.

I have a half sister (still alive?), we had nothing in common except a mother who didn't raise either one of us. I never met a more shallow human ever, so we haven't spoken in many years, happily for both of us.

I have the best sister in the world. In May she will be 80 yrs old. Sadly she has many health issues. After my Mom had her my Dad wanted my mother to have another child so my sister would have a sibling close in age to her because my brother was 11 yrs old when my sister, but my mom said no way. Accidentally my Mom got pregnant with me a few years later.
