National Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Day - June 9th

Never had a pie but I can remember walking home from school when I was a pup and there was a house that had some growing close to the fence and I'd reach in and swipe a stalk now and then.....sour wise it was like eating a lemon but back then I liked it.

Oh yes....remember mom making the pie every summer...yummy.....

Another one of my favourites, along with apple pie……strawberries from my patch, my own rhubarb, my own apples from my own tree.
Doesn’t get any better.

@IKE did the same when I was a kid, loved raw rhubarb…..don’t know how I did it, but not since I turned adult.

One of my all-time favorite pies !

I worked with a couple guys & we were talking about pies. Started on strawberry-rhubarb & Alan said he never had one before. Troy & I just looked at him & said you got to be kidding us. I made one & he tried it saying it was just OK. Tim & I had no problem finishing it off ourselves.

@GAlady, I see one in my near future cause you've made me hungry. All of my rhubarb is going crazy & it needs to be cut anyway. I'll pick up berries at the store when I'm out.

When we went down town..(most Saturday(s)
before coming home..Mom&I would stop into our favorite bakery..and buy one.

This is my partners favourite. It’s been a while since I’ve made one as we no longer have our rhubarb patch. He now buys one at Easter and thanksgiving

We used to take the sugar bowl with us out to the rhubarb patch. I love strawberry-rhubarb sauce and strawberry-rhubarb pie. And wish I had some right now.
