Need Advice About A Bad Behaving Dog

I will not tolerate a dog i cannot control in my home. Dogs can and do kill . They also can love and have endless loyalty. You do not have to beat a dog anymore than you have to beat a horse to establish dominance. You DO have to establish who is in control.
Two years and no manners is a problem you have to be sure you want to tackle. You did not say the size or breed of the dog…and that makes a difference. You also did not mention your own skills when it comes to “training”. That also makes a difference. If you choose to tackle this start by getting your new guy to understand this is a PROBLEM and needs to be thoughtfully solved.
Pets are our children and wards and generally want love and attention. The more you invest in this animal the more she will become yours.

Yes, other people have suggested the dog needs training and also probably needs long walks to get rid of its energy on a daily basis. I took a 84 pound dog that had bit its owner because its owner had hit it many times.

The time the dog bit was because it had a massive double ear infection, and pain on its hips where he was hit. I had that dog for six years and he was one of the best dogs I ever had and was very gentle with my three little dogs.

Personally, I would never get rid of a dog for a partner. Your partner appears to be ignorant of dogs needs, and he really should work on getting training for the Dog if he values his relationship with you. It’s also best for the dog.

IMO, this is not a bad behaved dog. It's a dog craving love and attention (unfortunately doing it the wrong way). Would you like to be left all alone for 10+ hours and then ignored when someone finally comes home? The dog is barking and jumping in hopes of getting any type of attention. Hit the dog with a newspaper? For what asking to pee outside instead of soiling the floors or carpets? He makes weird sounds while riding in the golf cart because he's happy to be outside.

I think the owner needs to either get a pet sitter to come in while he's at work to let the dog go outside and play or give the dog to someone who has the time to show this dog what a loving home really is.

Most all dogs can be trained! If a dog acts bad, it has not been trained or maybe just poorly trained. Just like people, some are easier to train than others. Frequently, people blame the dog, but it is seldom the dogs issue, it is the owner's unwillingness, ignorance or being unable to train or pay to have the dog trained. Far too many dogs are put down or just locked up in a pen do to the owners ignorance or unwillingness on training a dog! It is a people problem not a dog problem..

Don't get a dog if you cannot train or be welling to learn to train them or pay a trainer to train them.
