have a ceiling light..bulb just 'went out' s
3" round
can't remove light from holder..
can't grasp..even with the rubberized jar-lid opener.

what to do?

Frustrating..as it's not brain surgery😉

Is it in a bracket and you can't get your fingers around it or is it stuck in the socket?

If it's the former, try a suction cup.

Latter? Ooh, that's a hard one. Be careful that it doesn't break in your hand and cut you.

Is it a regular bulb or one of those little haligen-type bulbs. If the latter, try pushing up on it as you're trying to turn it.

We're having the same problem right now in the kitchen.

Shut off the Circuit breaker & Spray the socket with Silicone or WD40. Plan the replacement of the fixture anyway first. Do not reuse the Old Fixture & Socket just trash it. If that seems off, hire an electrician. Ur wife can hold a towel to catch the spray drippings if you DIY. Is it recessed in the ceiling? A suction cup tool that is used to carry drywall / large sheets of Paneling may work well here? Ask Drywall Suction cup tool.
