Can anyone recommend a good basic mobile phone for seniors with fumbly fingers and weak eyesight.

I see lots of advertising on line but I would like some first hand information and comments from SF friends

I am still using an old Samsung which is very slim and heavy and with nerve damage, I no longer get a good grip on it.
It is now outdated but I use only for email notification on wifi at home and do not have any other apps on it.
I just need for text and calls when I go out and I do like to have the camera etc.
Looking for one with large keypad, lightweight and good grip.

My home phone is my major contact line.

What about Jitterbug?
I do not use it but it always intrigued me. It seems to provide you with what you are looking for.

Yes I have seen that and others like it but what I am looking for is first hand experience.
...'straight from the horse's mouth' so to speak:D

p.s Jitterbug is not available to buy in Canada

All I have ever used is my iPhone, and i love it, but if you do not want to use it for anything except phone calls and texts, there is probably a more basic phone that would work better for you.

I have all of my health apps on mine and it tracks fitness, steps, heartrate, and oxygen sensor. Plus it is an excellent camera, so I never need to take a photo and do not have a camera along.
I have the iPhone and my Apple Watch, and the Apple Watch is my emergency alert, and it can call for help even if I fall and pass out and can’t call for myself.

I have one of the large size phones, and with touchscreen, it is easy to read things on the phone. I actually do most of my texting with my iPad because it has an external keyboard, but you can also get an external keyboard that works with your phone, too, and makes texting MUCH easier to do with a phone.

Perhaps someone knows the name of those knob shaped devices that attach to the back of the phone. They look like they only cost a few bucks.

Or this.

phone holder
thye're called Popsockets.. ( phone grips)

Personally I prefer the finger ring ...which can be attached in several ways more suitable for the holder also they double as a stand ... I have those on my phone

Those grips are not for me.
As I said I have nerve damage which does involve my fingers so I am looking for a phone where I have a good hand grip and that has to be my left hand.

I just wanted comments from anyone who is actually using a basic phone which has what I am looking for as explained and would not be too expensive.
My desktop Mac has everything I need in the way of apps so I don't need to be carrying them around with me. A matter of choice , I guess.
