When my internet was dropping a lot several months ago, I started downloading as much stuff as I could in case my internet dropped completely for a while (it didn't).
I started downloading Netflix shows to watch later. When I was doing that, I found something called Smart downloads on Netflix.
In the download section, Netflix asks if you want to set up smart downloads. I was dubious at first.
They ask how much space it can take up. I use an external microsd card with a lot of extra memory, so once I changed the download location, I didn't care much about how much space it took.
I tried it. It's been fun. Just watching which shows they pick to download has been entertaining, and knowing that I'll have something offline to watch is reassuring. It doesn't work on computers, only on apps on phones and tablets.
An interesting thing is that it's constantly changing. It doesn't just add shows, it deletes shows on a daily basis, so whenever I look there, there's different stuff to watch. I can manually download something if I want it not to delete.
