Never Use Mouthwash

I just read in the never ending world of "do's and don'ts" using mouthwash after brushing rinses away all the protection you just applied by brushing. While it makes sense the next question is how long after brushing should I wait to use mouthwash?

Fluoride is good for your teeth, it strengthens them.
Right. That's why he recommended it. I plan to get some as soon as I use up my blue Colgate mouth wash. I use some kind of rinse everyday because it gets under the gums in a way that floss and brushes can't. Thirty years ago I spent $10,000 out of pocket (no insurance) to save my teeth and I've taken really good care of them ever since.

Mouthwash was good at getting rid of dandruff, I learned
several years ago.

Mike.
Really? That's interesting. I'm gonna look it up; my little granddaughter gets dandruff a lot even tho her mom has tried different shampoos and stuff. Now they're talking about cutting her long beautiful hair. Which actually will probably help.

Mouth wash is also detrimental to the microbiome. Not needed.
Quite true. It kill all the bacteria - including the beneficial ones - like overuse of antibiotics.
Companies know how to make people buy something - with ads that convince non thinkers that they'll have bad breath unless they use mouthwash. Brushing & flossing prevent bad breath & don't interfere with the balance of bacteria.

Reminds me of those breath fresheners for dogs. People actually buy them. Yeah....dogs need mouthwash.......

Only after they eat their own poop. Or the cat's poop. Surprisingly, their breath doesn't give it away after they've licked their own anuses.

One popular brand of mouthwash claimed it can kill 99.9% of the covid virus! Saw that on a TV ad couple times. Then it was gone.

Where did you read that, what is your source? I can see not overusing mouthwash, but once a day, preferable before bed, should be just fine. There are a lot of germs in our mouths, and as we sleep they are closed, encouraging growth. I stopped using Listerine a few years back after hearing stories about alcohol in mouthwash, etc. Went to a more natural one I found in the health food store, and didn't even use that on a daily basis. Turns out my gum health deteriorated and my dentist encouraged me to go back to Listerine, which I use only once, before bedtime.

I use ACT restoring with fluoride to restore enamel when my teeth sometimes get sensitive. You're supposed to use it after brushing.

You could try Rice water Murrmurr, after boiling rice, keep
the water in the fridge, after she washes and rinses her hair,
rub "Rice Water" all over the hair and into the scalp, the rinse
it off after a few minutes, that will give her lovely thick shiny
hair and no dandruff.

Are you defeating toothpaste by rinsing after brushing?
I have prescription for tooth paste, 1.1 % fluoride. The instructions expressly state no rising, drinking or eating for 30 minutes after application.
