New car... wish me luck!

So I have a '17 Audi A4 that I bought back in late 2016, so it will be 9 years old this year. This is by far the longest I've ever kept a car. It is pretty pristine, I love driving it and I only have 36,400 miles on it but I started thinking about the fact that I'm much closer to the end of my life than the beginning.

We most likely have enough to live on for the rest of our lives because we don't buy new furniture, clothing or any other items that are unnecessary. Our house is paid for. So, I started thinking about the things that enrich my life. I love traveling, I love going to the gym and listening to music and I love cars. We decided to curtail our plans to cruise in Europe this year and just go to the Caribbean.

So, I started looking at new cars. I found a '25 Audi A5 Sportback online. It is fully loaded, but it is discounted yet certified because it has 3,000 miles on it. I've already started negotiating with the dealership online and have an appointment with them on Monday. The math already works out, and today they sent me an email lowering the purchase price by $1,000. I've leased/purchased 4 Audis from them over a 16-year period so I'm hoping they will consider that. I want to make a fresh start in a new car because I'm pretty certain this will be my last car. Wish me luck!

i have to buy a new car this year. my honda civic is 19 years old. little things are starting to go wrong. i need to get rid of it before the big things happen. everyone says they will help me with negotiations but no one has stepped forward. i heard this one particular dealership has a good buying experience. i wondered if i should email them and see if that is in fact true. maybe it would help.

I've read that AuthorityAuto will negotiate for you in exchange for a percentage of what they save you. I don't know anyone who has used them tho. I can't remember the service I used a long time ago, I did get a very good price but the dealership didn't have the color that they said they had, so I wound up settling for my second favorite color and they gave my new car a free pinstripe.

Good luck! You're making a wise decision, nice to buy something you will enjoy in your senior years, that is what we all work hard for. Don't deny yourself any pleasures. Post a pic when you have it. 💙
