It was my first visit to a highly recommended Chiropractic Physician. I had to wait quite awhile to see him and was getting a little annoyed but then he came in. He did the examination and the first time he pressed on my upper back and asked me if it hurt it actually felt really good. I told him that feels good! He asked me where the pain was and I showed him. It was next to my shoulder blade all the way up and down my upper back. I told him I have TMJ, too. His assistant put the tens therapy on my back for 10 minutes. After he worked on stretching my neck out. Then he pressed on the area that had been very sore and it felt really good. I swear this man has the magic touch!! I'm so glad I found him even if I had to drive a ways out. He also does accupuncture. Don't know if I'll get that, never had it before. So he told me to ice the side of my neck 3 times a day for 15 minutes. They had ice packs for sale there so that was very convenient, too. The ice packs are the large size and really sturdy, too. So, I'm very happy with this new Chiropractic Physician.

I've gone to chiropractors for years. With my active lifestyle, I manage to "dislocate" a vertebrae, etc., every few months, and rather than letting the MD's load me up with prescription drugs...which do Nothing but Mask the symptoms, I have the chiropractor put everything back in place....and within a day or two, everything is back to normal. A good chiropractor is a valuable resource.

Ice does wonders for sure! I'm glad you've found some relief and a chiro whose care you trust.
Yes, the ice really helps! Thanks, he is a very good one!

Well, he stretched my neck out really good and it feels so much better! Glad you get relief from them too!

I've used chiropractic for years and years. It DOES help me a lot. I've also gotten good results from acupuncture. The acupuncture is certainly worth a try, Ruthanne. It really doesn't hurt.
I've used chiropractic before but not in over 10 years. I am going to ask him about the acupuncture. I'm not afraid of it. Anything to help, I say.

Glad to hear you are happy with your new doctor. It sounds like he spent quite a bit of time with you. It is so hard to find a good one these days.
Maybe compared to many doctors he spent more time but he didn't really spend more than about 5 minutes with me. I am happy with him, yes, he is a good one.

I had used chiropractors for most of my life. One time I had a problem in my neck and I seen my local doctor he sent me for checking out the nerves and when I went back to the doctor he recommended to see a surgeon about fusing the neck bones and not go to a chiropractor and don’t do any kind of traction on the neck. I left his office went directly to my chiropractor and built my own device to stretch my neck that was some 35 years ago and I have full recovery from that problem.

Sorry I just saw your post now. I'm glad you have had good results on your own. I was recommended surgery, too, a long time ago but will not have it. It is going okay with the chiro. I am a little bit sore but am icing it now. I have stenosis in my neck and arthritis.
