It's been a long wait. Stranger blew up when it hit Netflix and has won several awards. This is from Wikipedia:
"Stranger Things has attracted record viewership on Netflix and has an international fan base. The series has received critical acclaim for its characterization, atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing, writing, and homages to 1980s films. It has received many awards and nominations, including 39 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (and six wins), four Golden Globe Award nominations, a British Academy Television Award nomination, two Directors Guild of America Award nominations, three Writers Guild of America Award nominations, and three Grammy Award nominations. It has won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, two American Film Institute awards, a Critics' Choice Television Award, and three People's Choice Awards, among others. In September 2019, the series was renewed for a fourth season, which is being split into two volumes, releasing on May 27 and July 1, 2022, respectively. In February 2022, the series was renewed for a fifth and final season."

Thanks, Diva! I sure hope that Netflix's problems don't hinder Sweet Tooth from coming back on; I love that show. One of its stars, Stefania LaVie Owen (plays Bear):

also had a part in the first season of The Wilds which I've been watching on Amazon Pr. Video (also a good show and Season 2 just dropped, yay!).

Sweet Tooth was already renewed for S2 about a month after it first aired.

Woohoo! Can't wait, my granddaughter Lydia and I both are addicted to this show.

I am a huge fan but I don't really like watching instalments, I'd much rather wait and watch the whole thing. I am planning to start watching the new season this weekend :)

My DD and I watch separately and chat later about it! Like many other shows/movies.
My DD and i live together so we usually save shows we both like for her days off. Mostly SciFi and some crime and first responder shows. One of the advantages of streaming is i don't have record things any more we can watch on our schedule.

With stranger things i watched the first season then didn't watch again till two weeks ago when she decided, having seen a bunch of clips from it, that she wanted to watch. I rewatched first season with her.

Feywon, I love all those types of shows!

I agree about not having to record. We cut the cord long ago in favor of streaming.

Will you watch the Time Traveller's Wife? I'm enjoying it... Read the book, saw the movie.

There's some things i lose patience with things originally a book or movie that get stretched out in a series. Saw the movie of Time Traveller's wife, but doubt i'd have patience for it as a series. Whereas something like Stranger Things was conceived as episodic story.

My DD tells me she read that the Duffer Brothers originally intended for season two to be about the main kids grown up. But they and likely Netflix realized a lot of the appeal was in the kids do they revised.

I didn't realize you hadn't watched S2 yet Feywon! I think one of the reasons Stranger Things will end with S5 is because the children will be all grown up. Well...enjoy!

For fellow fans: Even though there will be only two episodes in part 2 of S4, they will be long. One will be about and hour and a half, the other two and a half hours! Also did you know that "Nancy" and "Jonathan" have been dating in real life since 2016 ?
