New food item to me...(learned something new)...

Anyone tried Biocol milk? It is skimmed milk with added plant sterols. It is said to be "clinically proven to actively lower cholesterol". I noticed it on the shelf in the supermarket yesterday. I like trying out new things so might get a carton. (y)

Do our 'Aussie' and 'kiwi' friends want to tell us about this...what looks like a miracle product.😉
Bandages treated with Manuka honey are sold here. I guess the honey is as well, but not in my supermarkets.

I buy the Heart Foundation endorsed milk, plus the cholesterol lowering spread in the hopes of keeping my slightly elevated cholesterol down.

What do/did you think of it?
Recommend?😉

When I was young, my mom worked late on Friday, so sometimes we'd go out for pizza, and when Aunt Shirley joined us, she always ordered an individual pie with extra cheese and garlic for herself, which she'd sprinkle with back pepper, no tomato sauce. It was good, but to my taste, nothing beats an old-fashioned “tomato pie.”

Soppressata
Dry-cured pork salami.. Slightly spicy

Has anyone tried?😉
Fortunately, I have an Italian market close to where I live. You can find soppressata in a sweet or hot version. I have the sweet one in my fridge right now. I top pizza with it or serve it with cheese, crackers, and other goodies. It's delicious. 😋

Soppressata is an Italian salami (a fermented and dried sausage) and a specialty of the southwestern Italian region of Calabria.

Although it is a staple of southern Italy, variations of soppressata exist throughout Italy, including Sopressa di Vicentina, a salami characteristic of the northeastern Italian region of Veneto.

Both soppressata and sopressa are made with pork using either the rich cuts of the shoulder or the leaner cuts of the ham, depending on the particular recipe.

The northern sopressa often includes aromatic spices such as garlic, cinnamon, clove, and black peppercorn, while the southern soppressata is restrained in its spices but does use a healthy amount of dried chili peppers, which is common to southern Italian foods.

Hi Jace: A friend of mine many years ago was telling me about her husband's problem with his legs. Apparently, they were huge and starting to get ulcers on them. He found on the internet an interesting article about Manuka Honey from New Zealand, .so thought he would order some bottles of it. He started to rub the honey on his legs twice a day and covered them with a bandage and have Spoonfuls on his cereal. Within a few months the swellings started to reduce, and the ulcers cleared up. We can now buy it on the shelves in supermarkets. Apparently, there are different strengths for different problems. My son took Manuka Honey 10+ whenever he has a sore throat. He swears by it.
