New guy from Central Virginia

Hey, all.

My name is Bill. I'm on the cusp of 66.

I retired about 5 years ago when a layoff made that decision for me...I was fortunate I had the option.

Moved to Central Virginia (a very rural county) in 2010 after 45+ years of living outside of DC. Yeh, it changed. A whole lot.

I'm single, no kids, found this forum via internet search. I belong to a couple of other subject-specific forums, and joined this one to be virtually social with like-minded people.
