Just a quick hello..Gerald..3.jpg This is my studio/ham radio room in our apartment...studio for my radio service for the visually impaired, disabled and 50 plus..

Greetings Jerry!

Have a quick question for you. Many years ago, a guy who worked with my Dad, they were Tool & Die Makers, always came to our house to check the vacuum tubes in our T-V. This would be ca. 1960 or so. I recall him looking maybe close to 30 years old.

His name was Ray Divis. He happened to be a Ham Radio Operator, W9LXH. I specifically recall the call letters as I was super-interested in electronics. Not long ago, I looked up those call letters on line, and there he was still listed, address on Ruble Street in Chicago, I remember that street name, too.

The question: Would he still be listed thusly even though no longer alive? The guy would have to be in his 90s! Thanks for reading! imp

Sometimes it can be that way but, some spouses do not contact the FCC or family member about them passing away, and by notifying the FCC about his license and the question of passing, I have known of one person who was not alive for 10 years and he was still listed...they are called Silent Keys(who passed away)...hope it helps...and thank you..

thank you, in Vancouver here, I go to the local senior 50+ club here, though 52...I took ideas to look youthful from Dick Clark..RIP....anyway...I enjoy being at the club...they are all kind people....Cheers...Gerald...though distracted today and programming the internet station has kept me busy..take care..

Welcome, good to have some more on of the younger seniors join us here, helps to get a wider variety of points of views sometimes, so glad to have you on board.
