Hi everyone!! I am from the snowy north in Canada and 6 months of the year we are knee deep in snow. I am not a fur-trader or a lumber-jack, (in my case a lumber-jill) and I don't have a dog-sled, and yes there is a maple leaf on my back-pack......and the only problem I really have is my fateful decisions between fashion and not freezing to death. Nice to meet you.

Welcome Goldilocks, I'm new to the forum as well.

I understand your fashion or free dilemma! I grew up in Northern New York about an hour from Montreal and have experienced some c-c-c-old weather, even in a white-out once...40 below..brrrr. You mention "lumberjack"...haha....the college I went to had Forestry as a curriculum. Wouldn't trade my small town, fun snow-filled winters for anything. Don't know about you but i also walked to school everyday, rain, sleet or snow. so.....fashion wasn't an option.

Hi Goldilocks!

Hi there, Goldi. Pull up a rocking chair by the fire and sit a spell. We are a good group here, and a great way to pass the long cold winter.. I am in New York State.

LOL, well welcome for sure, and I'm still laughing over what RadishRose posted! I think you will have lots of fun here Goldi;) and Canada is near to my heart, especially BC, and Ontario where my folks are from.

I still have plenty of hotflashes to keep me warm wherever I go, and I just dress in layers that I can take off really fast!!

Thank you every one for the lovely welcome. I am not to computer savvy so this might take me a few days to figure all of this out.
