I am always interested in the upcoming drug plans and their costs. I see ours has gone from 11.20 each per month to .50¢ each (can't be right)and it has over 500.00 deductible on several tiers. I was stuck last year with a high deductible on eye meds for my husband so cheap is not always good..

I see one more I will call about and it is 13.30 each per month but the deductable is 280.00 on some tiers and copays are about same for both. I will have to call when it is time and see what our meds cost on each plan to see which plan is best for us. It is slim pickings here in Ms if I go by this medicare handbook choices. I hope the medicare site has more of a choice.

Huh. Mine just showed up today. I need to go over it, I'm not even sure what the effective date is.

How long do people keep the previous year's issue?

I got mine, today and it's going up by more than $40 per month. Yikes.

And the annual deductible is also increasing.

I had wanted to stay with this one that I had selected last year, but I'll have to look for another one, when the complete list comes out, in October.:(

Will likely have to switch companies, to another one that I'm not familiar with, in order to get something better priced.
At least I hope to find a better option.

You can choose to change, your Part D plan, between October 15 and early December, each year.

Then the effective start date for the new one (or restart of the same one of you take no action)
Is January 1.
