New member, saying hello!

Hi, everyone!

I am 60 years old, have 3 fantastic children that are all grown up and all but one are gone pursuing their own lives. The one who is left with me has disabilites and I hope he, too, will soon be in his own separate living situation.

Reading, walking on the beach or in the woods, are some of my favorite things to do.

Thank you. This forum and all of you wonderful people who make it what it is have made me feel much less lonesome and renewed my faith that there really are a lot of good people out there.

LindaV, sometimes it's hard to remember that the majority of people are good happy people. What with the news, TV, and even the books we read, showing us so much violence and hatred.
If we give yourselves a chance, we do find healthy communities, like SF, to keep us active.
Bad people, just find us boring. Lucky us. :bighug:

You are right. When things have been really bad for a long time, though, a person can really develop some negative ideas.

LindaV, There are several of us that have to fight depression, as you are. At least all of us have reached out to find a healthy way to deal with the issue. As you've seen there is a good mixture of characters here. I have made many friends here, more than I had when I was so busy raising a family, and working to support them.

Thanks, Ina. You are wonderful. I'm going to keep hanging around here. It's a good place to be and sometimes someone post something that causes us to laugh. And, I believe, that is the best antidepressant around!
