New Phone Scam Targets Amazon Customers

Makes me glad I avoid Amazon.
As @Sunny said...it doesn't matter if you're on Amazon or not. If you file taxes, there's a scam for that. If you have grandchildren, there's a scam for that. If you get social security, there's a scam for that, etc., etc. Scams for just about anything you can think of are proliferating. We just have to remain vigilant and check things out at the actual sources. @Jace

@Jules "These scammers are getting much better at their games. Thanks for another warning." and @Mike "Thank you, OneEyeDiva, for the warning, I haven't heard anything" You're welcome, of course. :)

True. But I will STILL avoid Amazon since I can almost always find a better deal with a little effort.

That "grandson who needs money" scam is as old as the hills. …. How sad that a lot of scared elderly people probably fell for it, and lost their life savings.
That one has been successful enough in Vancouver that there are news reports of people arriving at the elderly people’s door to ‘transport the money’ to the jail. One was caught in a porch cam. Never heard that he was caught.
