R.I.P. With Us In Spirit Only
New Time magazine has a front page showing a tiny baby. The caption reads "this baby could live to be 142 years old. The article focuses on strides in medicines, lifestyle, and understanding DNA etc. as the reason. As usual experiments on mice leads to discovery. If you were born 1n 1925 your life expectancy was 59 years, 1955=70 years,1985=75 2015=79 according to the article. I have already outlived my life expectancy and I'm still here, beaten, banged up but here. Do you wanna live to be 142 or more? I sure as hell don't. Gotta go time for afternoon cocktail on patio.

I would quite like to make 95 or thereabouts, providing I am fairly well physically and mentally, but certainly no older than that. It's enough.

I am with yo OA! You have to be a glutton for punishment to want more.

Sure, I would, if I lived in the future - that's assuming that by then there will be many more medical strides and people would be in better shape. Also, in the future there would be more scientific breakthroughs to make life easier and more enjoyable than today.

It would entirely depend on what kind of shape I would be in by then. If I could remain as healthy and active as I am now, sure, I'd like to stick around!

We got that magazine, hubby mentioned the article, I haven't had time to read it yet, but it's on my nightstand.
