new truck

the one I got is a little different from the picture that was a stock picture....the truck is home and in garage and I love it, it is my retirement truck....

I have been a farmer/carpenter/wood burner all my life and I would not know what to do without a truck.....although this one is too nice to beat up, all my other trucks have been beat to snot.....

Ronaldj, love your truck. Hollydolly, as for the gas mileage of a truck, my husband was telling me he just saw a commercial claiming the new Dodge pick ups (only now they call them a Ram instead of a Dodge) get 29 MPG on the highway. I have no idea which model pick up that is but it sounds good to me.

I have always felt safer in a pick up truck because they are taller and for some crazy reason I've always loved them. When I worked I drove a Ford Ranger to my office job each day. :) Today we almost always use our pick up and only drive our car (a 66 Mustang) once every month or two.

Thanks for all your replies folks.. :D I honestly don't mean to be rude when i say this but I remember years ago watching Jerry springer show, and all the deadbeats mainly called jim bob or bobby joe...or similar that he had on that show....and they would start to tell their sordid story....and Jerry would turn to the audience and with a wry sarcasm and say..... ''There's always a truck involved'' :D

When I lived in the country I needed a truck. Not a "gentleman truck", a working truck. These guys now buy a pretty little truck and are afraid to get it "used". In the country you "USE" it and as a result it is a tool, not a city guys toy. At almost 80 and living in the city I have no need of a truck. Ronaldj that looks to be a fun vehicle for ya, have fun and enjoy it Amigo.
