We chose to celebrate the new year with the 3000+/- people living on the seven square mile island of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. This appears to be the only populated land area on earth outside of Antarctica where midnight local time occurs at 9 PM here.
Had to be in bed by 9:30

Happy New Year. We're all happy to see 2021 drag its sorry butt out of here. And at the stoke of 12 AM, it dawned me that we live in a new age. All our devices said "January 1, 2022 , 12..00 AM"
